StewardshipStewardship is more than just giving; it’s a way of life. Our heart is to cultivate a steward’s mindset in every believer, helping us recognize that all we have is a gift from God, entrusted to us for His purposes. When we see our resources through this lens, we experience the joy and freedom of using them in alignment with God’s greater plan.
Our theme for this years reflections is Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow. Here’s a reflection from John and Ann Coble
Over the decades, the role of faith has ebbed and flowed in our lives. Since being welcomed to Varina Church 25 years ago, we have experienced a reawakening of our faith. The more deeply involved we have become in church life, the more we find Jesus at the center of our lives. It is an enormous blessing. Ann and I are deeply involved in the life and ministry of Varina Church because God calls us to serve — in worship, in the food pantry, in our Men’s Group and the ECW, and in all youth activities. He also calls us to lend a helping hand anytime anyone needs it! There is something incredibly special about being in community with people who hold in common a singular love for God. It's a connection like no other! We trust and we know, without a doubt, that we can trust in and rely on our church family. We don’t take refuge from the world at VEC. Rather, we find renewal here, so that we can live beyond these walls with more compassion and kindness. We have been blessed by this church family with friendships we treasure, and we rejoice in the fellowship of serving God and others. We support the church financially and we receive priceless rewards from contributions we make of our time, energy, and money in all aspects of the church. |
